That copy looks mega clean too. Must be nice to be able to drop 2k on a record.

Yo Breez. Is that the same one I've been looking at that was still in the shrinkwrap?

  • I know there are some people on this board that are really into this LP, I don't feel it's that great

  • There was two copies for sale on Ebay.

One ended on the 5th the other on the 6th. Both were clean copies. $1500 dollars for one Bop street records sold the other 2K.

  • I played the lp a few weeks ago. It's a one tracker IMO... not worth the high end loot it goes for.

What's the last $2k record that anyone thought, "oh, that makes sense..."?

  • The White Stripes for sure...

I wouldn't rate it as a grail I'd pay 2 grand for but there's no way this album is a one tracker.

I assume "Cause I Love You" would be the track...

Yeah was thinking the same, don't really see the album as a straight funk release though so always appreciated many of the other tracks on there (how can you hate on Everytime I'm Near You?)

  • Turner Bros is one of the best soul LPs out there. Dudes are tripping.

Had a skated copy in the 90s. Thought it was fantastic.
Called one of the brothers who sounded drunk and disoriented.
    Called another family member.

Found out a buddy to the north had just tracked them down and arranged for the reissue.

    Sold the skated copy cheap.

See what happens when you start your auction at a high ass price.

My guess is the triple decker record will hit the 1K/2K soon, and for all the good reasons too, ofcourse.

I'd happily accept $2k to source a Verocai. Deadly serious.

  • Just sold my copy privately for exactly 2 grand and already regret it.
