NC/SC strutters?

goin down to Columbia, SC to visit a friend for a week starting on the 15th. may go to Charleston (Hi F****!) for a day, but also looking to hit up some record spots or catch some good bands. Last time I went down, we missed out on seeing Easy Star All-Stars, Bonobo, and New Mastersounds in Asheville. :[ I checked online but didn't really see anything poppin in Asheville this month.

    I'd check out either the whig (columbia) and the admiral (asheville) on Sunday nights (or maybe every other- so call ahead) low key dj nights with local record nerds playing deep cuts.

    Both places sport pretty good food and nice vibes overall.

    If you do stick around for the Columbia record fair the afterparty at the whig is usually a blast.
