Long time Raleigh resident Dave Tompkins will be back in town this weekend for a book reading at Quail Ridge Books and appearance on WUNC. His celebration of the Vocoder, ???How To Wreck A Nice Beach??? , is receiving rave reviews from the likes of The Village Voice New York Magazine.
Equally exciting is the fact that legendary hip-hop producer and Vocoder Master Dj Davy Dmx will be joining us this Saturday, June 19th at Five Star. In addition to his own monumental records ???One for the Treble??? and ???The DMX Will Rock???, Davy has produced tracks for the likes of Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, and The Fat Boys.
