huge thanks go to Andy Noble, who chose my shop to host the interview. His band is amazing and everyone should cop their record. It's one of the best things I've heard this year.

Great article. It's a shame you didn't get your own pen and ink rendering.

  • now that's "music journalism"---congrats on making my favourite magazine ever.

My step-dad remarked that the rendering (of Andy) wasn't that far off. But he just thinks all record dudes look the same.

Ha, I wonder if Ben and SJF had a conversation about this piece before it got assigned though I suppose it might have been a conflict of interest to have SJF pursue it.

    Good looks Johnny!

BTW, I actually think Greenman did a pretty good job of breaking down the Boutique Shopping Experience??? in ways that other writers (who aren't collectors) aren't able to properly capture.

I was going to say: Avatar for life for Mr. Noble. If you missed out this time, Jonny, perhaps you can set another goal for pen-and-ink: the Wall Street Journal!

Very cool article. Love that it centered on genuine enthusiasm for music and not on any type of "I got that" record snobbery.
