    Uh... Boston (the band).

Bosstones, IIRC (can you see what they did there?)

Clarification - Looking for artists in the funk / soul / disco / jazz vein.

  • I think Little Scotty is from Boston.

From a quick glance at Wikipedia there are surprisingly few Funk/Jazz/Soul types from Boston, best ones were:

    Chick Corea
    Roy Haynes
    Sam Rivers
    Donna Summer
    Tony Williams

Yeah I knew of Chick Korea and Donna Summer. I'm just thinking that none of the names coming up are really fitting for what I'm trying to do... I was trying to draw some inspiration on the Boston tip for the Breakbeat Tuesday.

Seriously though I pulled the Ed O.G. end-around maneuver and used Bohannon's "Stop & Go." No flag on the play? Cool...

I kind of have the vague feeling that Band X is from Western Mass, not Boston area... close enough?
