Question about moving iTunes library to external.

I recently moved my entire iTunes library over to an external drive. Since then, I have DL'ed new songs which I dragged into my iTunes, but not while the external was connected. So the songs I moved are housed on the external and play when it is connected and the newer songs are housed on the internal hard drive and play without me having to connect the external.What do I have to do in order to ensure the new songs are housed onto the external drive? I tried dragging them into iTunes WITH the external attached but the songs are only added to the internal drive.I'm sure there's some obvious option I'm overlooking here. Anyways...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks holmeses!

    I know that there as an option in the preds which makes it so that when you connect an external, it will auto transfer them across to your external. Can't remember what it's called but it is in there

    Preferences > Advance > Check box for 'Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library'
