Wow! Jaymack is all psychic with it tonight! LOL. I do have a half gallon of Jack Daniel's open in the kitchen and I might have had a few. Still a great album.
w/o WC and the mad circle there would be no Coolio. Lets look at it like that. My life would not be the same without Fantastic Voyage, Can Of Corn, and Mama Im In Love Wit A Gangster!
I love this album, personal favourite. I'm potentially setting myself up here as I don't have a copy at hand to check but I think his solo 2007 album Guilty by Affiliation had some great tracks on it too.
One of my favorite rap albums of all time... and let me expand on it by saying this - Ice Cube "Death Certificate" is one of the greatest albums of all time cross-genre. But take "Death Certificate" and put it next to the WC album and yes Del's first album and you have a very important trio of records that are all companion pieces.
I'm a little hung over. Does that make sense?
Also, Kool G Rap "Live And Let Die" fits in there too... somewhere. A great representation of the East Coast take of the West Coast gangsterisms in rap at the time when it was most dominant. Shit, we can turn this into a Boogiemen / Sir Jinx appreciation thread at any moment, I am too down for that.
And yeah, what this dude said:
One of my favourite albums, WC was amazing on it but so was Coolio. Album cover is superb too.
Coolio always gets love in my book cause his shit on this album was so fucking ill dude...
