I think they are. Feels like 2001 all over again. Got to go dig up my copy of "Off the Record" Part II, "Drugs", and Barriosoundz.

depends where you live and where you head is at i guess, coz i've been in MANY places, inlcuding clubs, and i spent some breakless nights. I tell you that...lol.

but you're right in a way. Breaks would have been gone like the wind right now. But some people like Kanye or Rich Harrison made mad loots using breaks. So i guess that's why newbies didn't drop it yet. But i seriously feel like it's some old-heads game. I don't much youngsters up on it like we was in the beginning of the 90's.

I don't get this thread at all.
    Where did breaks ever go?
The "break" is the foundation of all hip-hop music we hear today.
The break has never left if you ask me.
    Maybe I'm just a newbie.
    Oh well.

Sell me all your "breaks" please.
(yes I still buy qty. of James Taylor and Nillsson records for drums)

    Thanks,

I think part of the point is that they fell off in popular music. And even though you have knowledge a lot of young kids just know "mad keyboard" beats. They never fell off in my world either, but plenty of people could care less. And believe it or not plenty of people into hip hop could care less about records.
