Microphone check, 1-2 what is this? (Mic-rel)

a friend wants me to make him a graphic for voice-over work and was wanting to incorporate an old mic / announcer steez.something like this:with a cageor this: any idea what labels / names i should search to yield such mic images? thanks in advance.

  • Im not sure I understand what you're looking for but Neumann U-47 is a classic in its field.

    Old RCA microphones are cool.

    Do an image search for 'vintage RCA microphone'

  • The mic in your announcer picture is an RCA ribbon mic circa 50's.
    You may want to look into RCA "church" mics, which were omni ribbons made fr houses of worship and choral apps in the 1940's.

    My favorite looking mic is the absolutely giant RFT joints, my beautiful CMV-563, and of course the Nueman and geffel bottlecap and hitler mics.
