    considering the baby died from the mother accidently impaling it by trying to help it up after it fell, the same outcome more than likely...just no medical care to try to save it...so it probably would have died a slower, painful death out on the savanah.

    That shit is crazy sad, but there is no 'preserving' a species if they're in cages. Radiolab did an incredible piece on how antiquated, and just plain dumb zoos are in their design/management.

    If you ask me, one huge plot of land should be used for 2 animals to live close to naturally and break even, not for 50 animals to live shitty and generate a profit.
