When I was in high school I did a two week student exchange program to Taiwan. I stocked up on fifty cent pressings of various rock albums and when I got home half of them didn't even play - the needle would fly right onto the label because the stamper had been used so many times there wasn't any groove left.

For you, no.
For the guy bootlegging them, yes.
Exactly. They are for completists, and it seems most aren't in a hurry to get them.
