No way, oh man that's TERRIBLE. RIP Tony D - one of the best to have ever done it (and never getting the credit he deserved!) Back in the day on Krush Video (Philly's version of Video Juke Box) they used to run advertisements for Tony's "Music Makes You Move" LP which was all sorts of dope beats, and some YZ songs and all that. Dope shit. Plus let's not forget that he pretty much did the beat for "O.P.P." and got JERRRKED on that shit.
Not sure how big the Depula family are in the Trenton area or if they're the same family (I'm assuming they are), but they recently suffered another loss last month:

Crap. He'll be missed. I've always been the biggest fan. I still keep up with his latest beats on myspace. Prayers to his family. I'm breaking out my favorite PRT album Pure Poverty. P>

Tony D - Check The Elevation...
If so, I had some pretty interesting conversations when he was on here.
Regardless... this is very sad.

RIP
Love this song. I gave that first PRT album a loooot of play for years.
Was feelin' YZ too.
R.I.P.
RIP TONY D. Jersey stand up for your boy.
The job he did on this beat--shit, just the job he did with "Funky Drummer"-- has me like
Dude could hook up a beat, boy!
Pure Poverty had a big influence on me back in the day.
No doubt - apart from "Rock Dis Funky Joint", this was my first exposure to PRT. Then I went back and got with the first album.
Man, this is terrible. Sad day in hip-hop.
I have a Tony D album that came out in the mid 90's on a UK label, I believe. I remember liking it a lot. I'll try to find it today.
Pound For Pound, it's a good record. I have it too - need to rip it from my vinyl.
But what I REALLY need is Music Makes You Move. That's my shit.

Uh yeah there are a lot of Depulas in Trenton.
R.I.P. to Tony for real though.
I wasn't aware of that.
