I just got this big 24 channel Tascam mixer from the 80s. The sound coming from the headphone jack is a bit distorted and is mega-annoying.Does any one have a remedy?Any way to get around it?Thanks!

I learned to love this stuff when I started messing with vintage stereos:

You can get it from electrical supply houses or even Guitar Center I think.
    Often works miracles.

This product allowed me to not have to replace my x-fader for a looong time.

  • My friend has the exact same problem let us know what happens

  • You should also check the solder points of the jack if the cleaning doesn't work, easy fix.

you can get detoxit pens (a little of the liquid on a qtip should clean it out fine) at radioshack.

Hell yeah. I use it primarily to clean the contacts between my headshells and my tonearms, but it's great for pretty much any connection.
