i just watched this for the first time todayand i think its the most disturbing thing i've ever watchedbut in a good way!?!?apparently there is a 2008 remakeanyone seen this?what do you guys think of this movie?b

    It's a good film no doubt-- but I do remember expecting a bit more from it. I'm sure the first-person narration works fine in the novel, but in the film it could've been executed better.

    This is a great movie, but damn that book is hard to read. It's like the reader's in dude's head, meaning a lot of rambling, run-on sentences and such. I liked it a lot though, thanks to this thread I'll probably reread it. (Tucson is mentioned which excited me a little BITD.)

    And yes, the Metallica video is what piqued my interest in the first place.

    It was on my High School reading list...I really liked it...movie is cool as well.
