My message to a friend who contacted me that I knew in Seattle about 15 years ago. I always felt bad that this guy I worked with in San Francisco came to stay with me for a while and got her little sister hooked on heroin and then moved in with her. "Its great to see you are doing well, and I see your sister in your "friends" and she looks great too. I always felt horrible for exposing your family to that pathogen. Write and tell me what you're up to." Her Response."what do you mean? do you mean XXXX? i thought it was XXXXX that introduced us to him..... but maybe it was YOU!!! And indeed that was a LONG dark road culminating in 20 months of prison (for [her sister]). BUT, she is absolutely wonderful now. it is amazing what prison can do for you (and i hope i never have to find that out).
