I like the sound, but not quite sure it's a banjo.Banjopinion, please?

    That might be the Dead Skunk In The Middle Of The Road guy.
    Related to the McGarigals and his kids perform, what's his name. Loudon Wainwright!

    See if you can find Doc Watson or Elizabeth Cotton playing banjo for a less pop (but more than fiddle tunes) version of the same style.

    I didn't know that. He plays more of a three finger/Scruggs/Seeger type style.

    Here is one of the best drop thumb style banjo performances ever.
