    Hmmm.. I've eaten at all these. I was hoping to find a new one. I'm all about the Mariscos German Roach Coach at the moment. Their Marlin tacos and Camaron Ajo tacos will destroy all others.

    So let's say you have friends coming into San Diego for the first time and they want amazing Mexican food. Where do you send them? I don't have a place.

    Places/meals I ride for:

    Mariscos German - Marlin and Garlic Shrimp Tacos
    El Comal - Fish taco and rajas gordita
    Ponces - Guacamole taco and Cheese enchilada combo
    Sombreros - Bean/Rice/Cheese with Sauce over the top
    Rays - breakfast burritos
    Pokez - Anything
    El Camino - rajas tacos and mahi burrito
    Jimmy Carter's - Tomatillo Chilaquiles

    Yeah pokez is good but the service is SOOO awful.


    My wife likes Ponces but I don't. so thats a draw...

    I'll have to check out some of the other ones.

    there's one in University Heights thats pretty good but I can't remember the name.

    El Zarape. It's solid and consistent, but not amazing.
