i will be in abq for a bit and would like some recommendations: food spots, hiking etc. no need for record spots as i'm sure there are no, no records in new mexico and i know where the record stores are at anyway. also very curious about trees (the smoking kind!). to sketched (and old) to be that guy wandering about the university asking. any info much appreciated. also if anyone wants to catch a beer i got the first.b, 21b, 21b, 21 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/88.gif" alt="" 21

No hiking in burque, need to head out of the city toward Acoma for the real scenery.b, 21b, 21Padilla's was the schitt, if you like "new" mexican food. Line out the door.b, 21b, 21Check the antique stores on Central for any finds.

Obviously hit up Frontier restaurant first, and remember to hit up Golden Pride for their crazy good breakfast burritos that aren't sold at Frontier. b, 21b, 21Other good new mexican food spots are Durant's on Central in old town, El Patio near the University for fajitas (Dartmouth I think?), and Garcia's on North 4th and Central. Also check out El Modelo on 2nd st for chili stuffed sopapillas. img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/melt.gif" alt="" 21b, 21b, 21I'll be back there for t-giving weekend so don't buy all my raers.b, 21 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" 21

b, 21b, 21If going to Taos, hit their microbrewery "Eskes", and bring the kind green to the patio, because everyone is smokin' there, TAOS is my top 5 towns to live in, very cool town, make sure to make a stop at the bridge for an awesome look at the gorge (Rio Grande)going through Taos, spectactular view.
