Yo I'm looking to be down there in late January. Has anyone ever been to St. Martins / St. Maartins? If so does anyone have a line on a really great villa I can get for a couple of weeks? I never been there so I don't really know what's up.

I'll second VRBO - I've used them for years and while it takes some time just to get through listings and contact folks, I've never had a bad experience with anything I've found through 'em.

Get ready to pay, January is the high season there so rentals/rooms are more expensive. Apart from VBRO Villas Caribe has great places and good prices./a1 Dude, St. Martin/Maartin is such a great island. I prefer the beaches on the Dutch side, but the French side has the better restaurants/bars. Also, do yourself a favor and take the ferry to Anguila for a day trip, you'll love it.
