slowly but surely plowing my way through this 15 hour work...very good. The stuff about the Brooklyn Bridge and the Draft Riots is fascinating...anyone else seen this...thoughts?

    the financial collapse (collapsings?) of the New York banks of 1850s and 1870s strikes uncanny resemblence to what is going on now...
