turntable / computer workstation picture request

b,121(old picture of my current setup)b,121b,121I need to reorganize my record room. Right now I have one long desk that is made from an old door. I want to trash the old door and setup something that not only looks better but will work with everything I have. I've considering making the desk and turntable areas separate but wanted to see how others have their workstations setup to get some ideas. b,121b,121What I need:b,121computer workstationb,121turntable workstationb,121(both on wheels possibly to make cleaning easier because I have a dog that sheds a lot)b,121filing cabinetb,121storage spaceb,121cable managementb,121b,121One idea was to go with something like this from Ikea to get my desktop up off the floor. I need to get rid of a few desktop computers while I'm at it.b,121b,121I've seen a few of you using the smaller expedit sideways with turntables on top. How is that working out for you, and what do you do with your amp and other equipment? I have a amp, dual cassette deck, and cd player, hooked up to it all. Although I almost never use them so getting rid of those and replacing with some self powered monitors may be an option too. Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud and wanted to get some suggestions and see some pictures to get some ideas.b,121b,121b,121

    i dont think an expedit can fit turntables on it....... if it can i dont know why mine arent on my expedit

    b,121I've got one of these (has my monitor/speakers/mixer/interface on it - tower on the bottom - like in your photo). I think it's a good purchase, especially used. You can actually add on pieces and stuff too. Mobility would be an issue cause I don't think you can get it on wheels. But, you can adjust the height to store shit underneath which is essential in my opinion. Aside from that though, my set up is not very efficient so I won't show pictures.

Plaese to post pictures. b,121b,121h,121b,121b,121b,121i had something done like this, and like you, i'm not a woodworker. post the info on craigslist. there are plenty of people that will do this for cheap, especially in today's economy.b,121b,121i spent around $400 (this was 4 years ago), and the guy made mine from scratch, and included a top that basically turns my equipment into a rolling bar cart.

    Posting an ad on craigslist is a good idea. I might do that.
