Anyone have any guesses as to what is goin on here or have a similar phenomenon?b,121At work, in the bathroom on my hall, just about every day, there is a little terd - sorta like a big dingleberry - half-wrapped in a paper towel usually, in the wastebasket. One day, I saw it on the f*cking floor, but thats not really the point of this post.b,121Can it not just go in the toilet??!! I mean

font class="post"1b,121b,121We have an anonymous turd burglar at work who takes a big dump every day and does NOT flush the toilet. Several of us who have noticed this phenomenon are convinced this is acting out of some kind of deep psychosis. We have like 3 suspects, and they are all capable of this kind of weirdness. This is literally some disturbing shit.

We've recently been having some kind of epidemic at our work. First people blocked up the toilets with paper towels so they took our paper towels away. Then people blocked up the toilet with paper towels from our kitchen so they took those away too. Then someone had some kind of dirty protest all over one of the cubicle walls so they upped the monitoring. Then, to top it off, someone did a dump into a napkin and put it into the bin in one of the kitchens.b,121b,121This is not the behaviour of grown individuals.

I know a certain foreign footballer prefers to squat over old newspaper and then bin his "Biz" rather than flush it. He grew up in a place where water was scarce and this was common practice - He doesn't feel using a public seat is clean or gives the optimum geometry for laying of the cable.b,121b,121FACT.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Ha! [insert You don't have to be mad to work here etc cliche here]. Nah just your typical London office but it's kind of par for the course in my experience - the more money people make the less they seem able to complete basic daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, using bathroom facilities......

One of the restaurants that I used to work at, Pastis, had one nasty tiny little bathroom for the staff. Mad dudes who worked in the kitchen were first generation immigrants and they would put the dooks, and dooked out papers in the wastebasket. Not a good smell.

font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121We have the same problem here, as well as some f*ucking slob who was spitting sunflower seed shells all over the toilet and in the bathroom sink. I spent the next two days taking the long way back from the bathroom looking to see who had the seeds on their desk. When I found them, it was no surprise whatsoever that it was the same goon who once, unsolicited decided he had to show me some REALLY disgusting porn on his cell phone.b,121b,121I always figured the floaters were a by product of germaphobes who didn't want to touch the toilet, yet figured it was ok to let a big hunk of dook floating in the bowl.b,121b,121b,121b/wb,121b,121b,121I work for a newspaper that's part of a huge national chain. At one of our sister papers in South Jersey, someone was (apparently as a protest of some sort) was full out shitting on the bathroom floor. Classy...

Turd in a waste basket is nothing. Someone on the 4th floor of my building pisses on the floor EVERY DAY.

Quote:/font1h,121b,121b,121The world divides into water cultures and paper cultures. This comes into quite stark relief in Japan because Japan used to be a paper culture. Two hundred years ago they used sticks or stones or paper. And now, because Japan has had a toilet revolution, they've turned into a water culture, and they have very high-tech toilets with in-built bidets and drying systems that can massage you and probably sing to you.b,121b,121But the U.S. and the U.K. stubbornly remain paper cultures, and attempts to introduce bidet toilets have failed. Hygienically, bidet toilets are infinitely superior. Using toilet paper to clean yourself down there makes about as much hygienic sense as cleaning yourself with a towel and imagining you're rubbing off the dirt. We've got a very unhygienic way of cleaning a place of our body that we would like to be very clean.b,121b,121h,121

b,121b,121b,121I'd be willing to try a bidet, but considering the paper work I usually have to do make sure the job is done down there, I just can't see water doing the trick. b,121b,121b,121Plus, how do you dry? Do you towel it off?

I walked out of the bathroom and asked my friend, "Hey, what is that thing in there? Horizontal urinal? Auxiliary toilet?" He explained what it actually was to me, and then, indulging the sense of humor or our inner 14-year-old, we started calling it the Anal Hydro-Probe. b,121b,121And that's my story about bidets. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go to the library and, probably, get swamped with paperwork afterward.
