Anybody have any info on this particular single?b,121b,121This is a soul record from 1972, mainly female-led, and a little unusual - while they're good singers, what stands out is that it sounds like seven or eight people and they're all singing in unison. There's hardly any harmonies on the whole thing, and the token male voice is this lowdown bass singer who sounds like he spent a lot of time doo-wopping on street corners. And he comes dead close to doo-wop territory, singing nonsense syllables between verses. They're mixed fairly low, and the song is so cheery it sounds like it could have been straight from a PSA TV commercial. b,121b,121But make no mistake, despite the rugged production touches (sounds like the band is in stereo while the singers are in primitive mono), this is still img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oj.gif" alt="" 21 in the vocal soul department! Any word on who this group were, or what else they had out?
