font class="post"1b,121b,121Shoes did a sick remix of Miles Davis' "Gone", which I love. That's on the re-soled Vol 3 comp.b,121b,121There's also 'Nautiloids" (a re-edit of Nautilus), "Afta Lafta (comes tears)" on Vol 2 (I think). Nothing great, but decent headphone music.
b,121Yeah I know that Frankie Valli remix. Interested checking more about dude, if it's that good that is. Also, what's up with this "SHOES" stuff?

font class="post"1b,121b,121I don't know who's behind "Shoes", but its just some re-edit biznizz. You're not missing much to be honest. No party rockers on any of the EPs, just headphone material, and mostly mediocre re-edits IMHO.
font class="post"1b,121b,121he's got an afro rock set, an edit of Grandma's Hands that's great, After Laughter comes tears, mustang sally, and several others.b,121i think you can get most on Labcabin

font class="post"1b,121b,121cosmo, check his edit of jackson jones..not an easy catch..a 45 i put on one of the bbe joints.b,121 he added a kick and a clap on the snares, and locked the tempo, took both sides and spliced together.b,121also did a real nice job with the pointer sisters/ send him back... i see your gonna be in boston..those would go over well at that party..i will miss that, as i will be in japan.
b,121i have a bunch i could post, but is this dude on here, i don't want to take his money! btw, these were all copped for free online.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Ooohh yeah my fave so far, an edit of a track from a current french band called Octet.b,121"euro vs dolars" is a bit on a punk-funk basis ala Liquid Liquid, & is a real grower, some massive madness for the 3am shift...b,121b,121Also did you check his edit of Del Shannon "Gemini" ???b,121He really nailed it on this one, seems that most people are playing the Pointer Sisters tune, whereas "Gemini" is the real bombah IMHO.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Oh, indeed. Been a fan for a minute now. His style might be a bit too European (as opposed to Euro) for some, but he's one of the few re-edit cats whose work I'll cop pretty much on spec. Dunno how easy it is to find Stateside (or indeed anywhere else now, for that matter), but that Dirty Edits CD compilation that was floating around last year has some killers on it. Dude did a re-edit of The Human Beinz' "Nobody But Me" that's one of my favourite records of the last few years. He turns a garage-rock/freakbeat staple into this huge, relentless, snarling, krautrock beast of a tune - all motorik drums and dubbed-out fuzz guitar. First time I ever played it out, somebody came up to the decks and said, "Can you please take off this f*cking awful drug music and play something decent?" His edit of the Four Seasons' "Beggin'" was even a pop hit in the UK last year.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Oh, definitely. I was playing the Pointer Sisters out for a while before that volume of Dark and Lovely dropped, after copping an mp3 of it from a href="http://www.alainfinkielkrautrock.com/index.html" target="_blank"1here/a1 (where I note that Dark and Lovely #12 is out next month), but when I got the 12", I began playing "Gemini" at the end of the night too, and had quite a few people asking me what it was.b,121b,121More mp3s a href="http://www.thesweetfix.com/2008/09/pilooski-french.html" target="_blank"1here,/a1 for the curious.

font class="post"1b,121b,121hmmmm not really true. "put your pants on" reedit. with The People - Glastonbury on the flip. Neither cosmic nor italo. Probably his biggest known one aside from the Beggin edit.b,121b,121Weirdly enough the beggin thing started off as a white label. Then got major label endorsement. now has been REMADE (yes) in a horrible cover version.

font class="post"1b,121b,121Yeah, I've heard that - it's f*ckin' awful. On the other hand, the 60s/mod cover by Timebox (who went on to become Patto) is great.b,121b,121There's a nice edit of that Amon Duul tune "Kismet", which was on one of the early Dusty Fingers comps, on the same 12" as Jackson Jones/People. Most of the 12"s are super-tough to catch now, although Rough Trade East in London has a bunch of that single-sided John Miles 10" in their sale box. Dunno why that one didn't sell - it was way better than the Wessen Das edit that was out around the same time, yet that one seemed to get more shine.
