Just wondering whats happening with Corey Booker? b,121b,121Seen this real good documentary a couple of years back and they repeated it lasst week...i forgot how impressed I was when i first seen it. The doco finishes on the first election that he lost, but says at the end that in 2006 he won...so Im just wondering if anyone can fill me in on what hes done since then? I found him inspiring and thought...if only all politicians where like that. I also thought he had that 'obamagic' to him... b,121b,121Is he still mayor? still grassroot/community based? anyone live in his city?

    Yeah - he's still Mayor and doin it.     b,121Good to hear hes still alive and kicking it... He left an impression on me thru that doco.... which covers his battle to outs the old mayor (forgot his name)... funny thing I watched the doco again last week and found alot of parralels in Coreys story to the Wire's mayor election narrative....

    Yeah, that documentary (Steet Fight) was very interesting. And given that Sharpe James just went in for a bid, it looks like his corruption noted in the movie finally got its just due.b,121b,121One of my co-workers is acquaintances/friends1with that dude from Standford. Says that dude is absolutely a stand-up guy and seriously the type of person you want as a politician.b,121b,121Esquire had a good article about him a few months back.     my aunt helped run both of his campaigns. I heard about all kinds of stuff James the ex- mayor did in the races.
