Cassette Rips? What are the best goods?

Software, programs etc. the best way to get the killer tape collection onto mp3/cd for preservation and enjoyment....???b,121Suggestions? Kick it to me like you are explaining some sh*t to grandpa, computer-wise.

  • Time usage is not the matter in question but to answer you it's all over the map. Mixes by DJ's who are now dead, old tony touch tapes from '93 with early B.I.G. freestyles on them, really old radio shows, an old Evil Dee breaks mix, and tapes of me and siblings when we were first learning to talk, among others. Def not a1waste of my time.b,121Do you have the knowledge to share?

  • They've got some sorta device that looks like ZIP Drive with Cassette Tapes that is actually just for this process...but i bet youd be just as happy with a Tape Deck > Sound Card set up...

    If you have a mac just use garageband, it works fine.

    Yeah just get one of those little electric ropes1with headphone plugs at the end, and then go from your cassette deck to your computer.

  • use tape out outputs on amp run to 1 small stereo input plug to computer,wrong output level can fry the soundcard,use free audacity,buy the cord at computer store
