Anyone know how these tracks actually sound? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220232998985&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012In particular, I'm curious about "Message" which I can easily imagine done steel drum style...I just don't know if I'd want to hear it done steel drum style.

    This is my auction actually.
Found this in a thriftstore recently and I was pretty much blown away. For a steel record this is definitely a banger. Heavy drums and some pretty interesting covers of Ain't no sunshine, Message, A black man's cry (Fela) and The Caterpillar.
    Here's a clip:

Ha - this "Message" cover is pretty dope just on GP. Good luck with the auction!

Yeah, it's a pretty good version. Had another listen to the cover of A black man's cry by Fela Kuti and I like that one quite a lot too.

What other steelband records are worth picking up?
