I'm going to Berlin for an extended weekend around may 30th, anybody know any good club/digging/food spots? Saw that soul explosion night but there doesnt seem to be one around that date and my friend wants to hit up Berghain (is it really that crappy?)

    Soultrade record store is nice, they have some good used hip hop records.
    The soul section IMO is poor. Mostly reissues and only a few used LP's which are easy to get all over but you may get lucky.

    I heard good things about Da Capo in Prezlauer Berg, but it was closed the days that I was there (closed Sun, Mon).

    I mostly didn't bother looking, but damn there are a lot of used records for sale in Berlin - everywhere i looked there was another flea market or antique store or second hand place...

    You might hate it if you're into soul/funk, there could be a two hour queue, high prices, lots of gay action in the dark corners (sarky comments in 3, 2, 1...) of the basement level but this is one of the most notorious clubs in the world.

    Radio Slave is playing 30/5...
