Mad Hot Ballroom

Yo, this movie is amazing. We watch three classes of 5th graders in NYC public schools (Tribeca, Washington Heights, Bensonhurst) learn how to Ballroom dance (Merengue, Tango, Rhumba, Foxtrot, Swing) and these kids are so great. Watching these 10 and 11 year olds talk about the opposite sex is hysterical because they are on the cusp of puberty and they have all these adults ideas about things but they're still kids and they all have the precious NYC accents and it was just really wonderful. Mad hot, yo. 5 STARS!

    totally! It's like Spellbound but the kids aren't nerds.

    Just saw this...amazing. Best, most enjoyable movie I have seen in ages - maybe ever.

    I have been meaning to see this, thanks for the opinion and reminder Anna.

    I would have chosen another name besides "Mad Hot Ballroom" though. Seems a little adult to me!
