JUST WANTED TO GIVE A POST OUT OF RESPECT FOR MY GOOD FRIEND AND MUSIC/DJ MENTOR, TAREK CAPTAN b.k.a. DJ DUSK (1974-2006). Today marks 2 years since his passing. Hard to believe its been that long. I'm blessed to have known him and grateful he was able to spend his last hours by close friends. DJ Dusk was a hometown hero in LA and held it down at the world famous Root Down since the beginning 10 years ago. It's because of him that I was put into the Root Down Soundsystem. DUSK mentored a lot of youth as well at the Mar Vista Family center. There will never be another DJ DUSK.
