so i was hanging with a friend tonight who's old man was a DJ in NYC back in the early 70's and he says he has a tape with a version of "Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys" by ST4 (did some stuff on Perception) that blows the Equals version out of the water... he says it's on Sceptor... i've never heard of this and i'm curious if anyone has heard of it or has it???

    Yeah, on Sceptor with a pretty good cover of the Chambers Brothers "Funky" on the flip. Call me a purist, but I'd still take the Equals version.

    How's the version of 'Funky'? The original is a fave of mine.

    I guess it's comperable. Both versions are pretty tasty. The ST-4 version is, I guess, a bit more tough sounding.
