A side from firefox add-ons what other internet based apps are people using?
I signed up for del.icio.us, and immediately regretted it. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone, unless they're constantly using a different computer.
No add-ons, but my Firefox has a tendency to crash, display web pages odd (without pictures, text all on one side) and refuse to close sometimes. Safari seems more stable.

I use Rememberthemilk.com for keeping track of my tasks. I don't know how I lived without it. It integrates with almost everything. I got all my business stuff on Google Apps too.
rikai-chan for rollover pronunciation / definition of Japanese text
How well does this work? It'd be one step faster than plugging the characters into the Translation Widget on my Mac.
It's a great add-on. gives you the furigana, english translation, multiple meanings etc just by hovering your curser over the character. You'll still need something else to translate whole sentences, but this plugin is a must imo.

RefControl is kinda handy also, stops you from seeing all those yellow frogs.

Yeah, coupled with adblock filterset.g the internet is much more pleasant place. I also run NoScript .
Instead of clicking on the link to look at the posting it automatically posts all pictures in the posting under the post link in the main view.
