Congo Music Appreciation

On SoulStrut I???ve seen quite a bit of West African Afro Funk get some deserved attention, many thanks to Frank, but I???ve never seen any threads about Congolese music. I used to watch the African music videos on BET Jazz and I always liked the guitar sound of many of the songs even though the songs had some annoying synth work. I never checked for much African music outside of Fela until this year when I discovered the beauty of Franco & T.P OK Jazz music. Since then I???ve been on YouTube every day listening to this music. It???s too bad much of this music is licensed to companies in France and England. I ain???t paying 25 pounds for a CD I might as well track down the vinyl.Go to the eight minute mark on this song and listen to the interplay between the guitars.
