    I don't know if that buy it now is that far off, considering you could part out the discrete gain stages, line amps or mic pres and make rack mount versions under the Bill Putnam/Van Halen name - at 2500$ x 24 - maybe not so far off. To be honest though it looks like it needs a hell of a lot of work, I don't know if it has been recapped in the last decade, i'm sure all of the relays are shot by now, etc.

    The Eddie Van halen aspect of this is just a footnote compared to who actually designed the circuitry in this console.

    If i wasn't building a custom large format discrete console i would've gotten in on the auction action.

    The amount of cig ash and VD that must be caked on that thing makes me want to puke. The foam elbow rest should have a bio hazzard sticker on it.

    I'm more interested in the records in front of it.
