I know it's short notice, but I just heard about this show. I already have dinner plans with the lady, but thought some of you might be interested:
FREE CONCERT at Sanders Theater, Monday April 14 at 8 pm.[/b]Music by Mulatu Astatke, including some premieres, played by the Either/Orchestra & Mulatu.We'll be marking the end of Mulatu's Radcliffe Fellowship year at Harvard by playing some new music he's written recently, plus some of those Mulatu favorites you've come to enjoy in our repertoire.Also, Mulatu will premiere part of his Yared Opera, a piece which combines ancient Ethiopian church singing with modern synthesis. This will come in the form of a video which shows amazing images of the churches of northern Ethiopia.The concert is the final event of a conference at Harvard calledCultural Creativityin theEthiopian AmericanDiasporaApril 13-14, 2008Harvard University
