I'm not their greatest fan and, as a matter of fact, they all sound very similar to me , but I dig the ones below : with Freddie Perren

I love the production on all of the Donald Byrd albums they worked on - goes so well with the sound he was creating at the time.

Also, Bobbi Humphrey Black and Blues

  • i like this one but there are lot of other good ones..

    like Johnny Hammond goes gospel

"Peace of mind" is the stand-out IMO but I truly believe all Mizell produced tracks have something worthwhile. And this be no exception.
The cover always makes me laugh tho'.

How about 'Reachin' by Roger Glenn - some great funk on there.
I love the title track of 'Love To The World' - that's Mizells isn't it?
And there was a Mary Wells track 'Gigolo' that I think was produced by the brothers too.

Oh yes, Reachin' is my schitt - Rio is the major tune, but the album has at least 4 quality cuts
24 carat 100% triple A rated funky jazz flute fusion..... awful pic on the back cover though.

I forgot it was a Mizell record.

Essential Mizell Mix (can't confirm if link is still live as they block fun at work):

    Entity - SkyHi

Any of the Byrd stuff was strong last time I spun it.

Gears, Places and Spaces and Blacks and Blues are some of their work IMO. Good call on that LTD record. I've been listening to that a lot lately.
