Solarpix/PR Photos Jason Rae, the musician-husband of soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae, was found dead Saturday, March 22 in a London flat of a suspected drugs overdose. He was 32. The body of Jason Rae, according to West Yorkshire police, was discovered in an apartment in the Hyde Park area of Leeds in northern England. West Yorkshire Police said that a 32-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. He was later released on bail pending further inquiries. An autopsy was performed on Saturday night, but the results were inconclusive and the police are waiting for the results of toxicology tests before making a final determination on cause of death. No word on Jason's more famous wife Corinne's whereabouts soon following the incident. Her record label, meanwhile, issued a statement saying, "EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time. We ask that the media respects Corinne's privacy and that of her entire family." Jason was a saxophonist with band The Haggis Horns, who describe themselves on their Myspace page as "an eight-piece live funk extravaganza" who combine funk, soul, hip-hop and afrobeat with jazz virtuosity. The group had performed with Corinne, as well as other artists including Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Nightmares on Wax. The Haggis Horns were initially scheduled to play at the HiFi Club in Leeds on Sunday night, March 23. The club confirmed that the concert had been canceled.
