I've had a sealed copy in a thick red cardboard cover for years. Not sure why I haven't opened it yet...should I? Is this record any good?

    it's a decent tune. it probably would fetch less than $30 sealed. I've seen it sell as low as $9.99 on a few occasions. It's probably better to open it and maybe keep it and play it a few times, it's not bad. If you don't like it, it's not like you'll lose out on big $$$ or anything by cracking the seal.

    Just so you know, it's not a hip-hop record. More of a funky midtempo disco-ish kind of thing if I remember correctly.

    yeah no point in keeping that sealed. $10 - $30 joint. (that may be outdated)
