The Holiday Inn/Klondike label

I'm a fan of some of these groups/songs. From what I can ascertain from looking at the label, Klondike was a straight-up continuation of the Sam Phillips-run Holiday Inn label that, from the font, had ATCO distribution. Kemmons Wilson's Holiday Inn (and Continental Trailways bus line) sold these 45 in the 50s and 60s. If nothing else, Klondike's certainly one of only labels with the Maroon-on-Avocado label color combo. Good Memphis production is to be found on some of these.Holiday Inn:100: The Roller Coasters - Rimshot (pt. 1) / (pt. 2) (1962)101: Tookie Collom - You Torture Me / I Could Love You102: Jimmy Foster - Stranger In Paradise / Where Else Could I Go103: The Roller Coasters - Wabash Blues / Slap Back104: Frank Starr: Evil Eye / Knees Shakin'105: Kenny Lund: Greenbacks / Rip It Up Potato Chip106: Rusty Curry - Tag A Long / Our Love Can Wait107: The Roller Coasters - You've Gotta Run Me Down / My Fraulein Cries For Me108: Frank Starr - Little Bitty Feeling / Lost In A Dream109: Buck Griffin - Pretty Lou / The Girl In 1209 (1963)110: The Roller Coasters - Spanish Twist / Wild Twist111: Jimmy Foster - Hey Little Lover / Moving Up To Love112: Stan Daniel - Sweet Little Sue / Confused113: Bill Haley and his Comets - Juke Box Cannonball / Sundown Boogie114: Charlie Feathers - Nobody's Darling / Deep Elm Blues (1964)115: ???116: Dolly Holiday - Ever Lovin' Memphis Sound / Are You Forever2200: Diane Hall - But You Don't Love Me / Good Morning Love (1968)2201: Lee Adkins - Together Again / Don't You Believe It2202: Greg Todd and "The Jacks": A Simple Thought / Love2203: Jerry Dyke - Things / Come In Mr. Lonely2204: Charlie's Children - Finally Found Out / Lady Madonna2205: Load Of Mischief - I'm A Lover / Back In My Arms Again (also as Sun 407 - the last song on the famed label)2206: The Climates - Tell Him Tonight / Don't Be Cruel2207: Portrait Of Fun - Wages Man / Lonely Happiness2208: "Ironing Board" Sam (Sam Moore) - Raining In My Heart / When You Brought Me You2209: Robert & Randy - Good Company / I Won't Ask Why2210: Larry Brinkley - Guitar Pickin' D.J. / Every Turn That I Make Turns Out Wrong2211: Jerry Dyke - Habit I Can't Break / I Forgot To Remember To Forget2212: ???2113: ???2214: Larry and the Accommodations - I Wanna Hold You / Love Is The Answer2215: Gary Ellison - Now I'm In Trouble / How Could You Do This To Us2216: Charlie Freeman - Sweethearts In Melody / I Couldn't Help It2217: Greg Todd & The Jacks - Love Transcends / Garden Of Delights (1969)Klondike:2218: Beau Sybin - Been A Long Time A Comin' / Good Good Love2219: ???2220: ???2221: Pilgrim 20 - The Way We Live / ???2222: Mac White - Big Drop Of Rain / ???2223: ???2224: ???2225: Hart & Shorter - Nobody But You Love / Let's Get Our World Together2226: Calvin Owens' Show - The Cat / ???2227: Unknown Soul - Down In Texas / Deep In Kentucky2228: Luetta Johnston - If I Was I Bottle / Hold Our Hearts2229: Al Rose Trio - Drum Talk / Exactly Like You2230: Matt Friemon - The Cheater / Mental Revenge2231: Greg Todd & The Jacks - It's Daybreak / Nicotine Nancy2232: Judy Green - I Can't Get Along Without You / Come Out Of The Crowd2233: ???2234: ???2235: Dotty Abbott - Why Me Why You / Before You2236: ???2237: Bobby McClure - Lost Without Your Love / Love's Coming Down On MeMore discographical information, please. Klondike was sort of a production outlet for BB Cunningham, of the Hombres(of "Let it all hang out" fame)...there is still a lot of great unreleased soul stuff that BB recorded for Klondike apparently. Also, there was some tenuous connection between Klondike and Houston's Ovide, but I dont know the details...

Yeah, its good... he sounds like Ray Charles from what I remember, and its a pretty uptempo version.
