Trying to come up with something you guys can't Google...First correct answer wins a LP or CD.This singer released his first LP 45 years ago in 1963 with songs that included "Great Balls Of Fire" and "I Left My Heart In San Francisco"During the 70's & 80's he released million selling LP's as the front man for 3 different groups. He is still performing and touring today.I'll give a hint every hour until someone gets it.

The only confusion for me was that you said 3 bands ...
... I know ELF didn't "sell millions" but I figured you
would count them on his resume.

    I didn't count Elf.....even though I find plenty of both of their LP's I don't think a million were sold.....combined.

    Rainbow
    Black Sabbath
    Dio

How many of his 60's 45's have you ever come across??

    Ronnie & The Redcaps
    Ronnie & The Prophets
    ?????

Right, I'm saying, I thought you meant all bands combined,
so that's why I was wondering about Elf.

None that I remember - did you used to see them around NYC in the 60's?

I always wondered how he ended up working with all those
UK acts, like Deep Purple & Sabbath - weren't Elf working
    out of the USA?

Dude is 66 and still doing it as hard as anyone.

In my opinion the best hard rock/metal singer evar.

There are 60's 45's on Atlantic and some local upstate NY labels.

I never saw him early on.

    Elf was U.S. based

    The Vegas Kings (1957-1958)

    Ronnie & The Rumblers (1958)

Ronnie and the Red Caps (1958-1961)

Ronnie Dio and the Prophets (1961-1967)

    The Elves (1967-1968)

I think Roger Glover was in the US producing Elf & so Dio probably met Blackmore through him & the rest is history??
