best MP3 encoder out there? [microwave-related]

What's y'all's favorite MP3 encoder?I'm starting to doubt the built-in iTunes encoder.

    edit: Some other encoder might work best with microwave. LAME has the best sound quality though.

    V0 VBR MP3's encoded in LAME is what's up.. sound as good as a 320 but smaller file size.


    Can Microwave read .flac files?

    Not yet. Open codec lossless would be the jam!
