The age-old "ripping vinyl onto my computer" topic

I know, I know. So, I've been using ProTools Free for the past several (eight?) years, which I have installed on one of the original iMacs (OS9). I'm about to go wireless with a new iMac, and so I have a chance to free up some much-needed space and finally put the old iMac to rest once and for all (I only use it for recording purposes these days anyhow). What's a good FREE program that I can use on the new machine? The free version of ProTools, which has long been discontinued, only works on OS9. I'm looking to record, possibly edit out the biggest pops and clicks, make some custom extended loop intros, and that's about it.

This should work for you. It's a great program and I believe it supports vst's so you should find a plug-in for noise removal.
I don't like how they've removed the function of recording from your computer internally on the latest versions, not cool. That was handy as hell.
For multi-tracking, I gotta thank whoever put me up on Reaper for Mac OSX. This shit is changing my whole world right now.
Will SS3 at least give me two tracks?
