What happened to the Port Authority?

How does this happen? In my (admittedly Canadian) experience, it's certainly not a common record, and it's a solid listen. Why has the price droped so substantially? Is this the first sign of the apocalypse? Are the Lizard People pulling strings? Is Shin Bet artifically decreasing the price? Is Karl Rove up to something?

Sure you're not remembering "Together"? Which is still a solid $50-75'er.

Fairly certain--I was offered this record three or four times by dealers for around $75CAN in the past couple of years.

"Together" is really nice. Way more than 50-75 I'd say. I paid 30 and think I got a steal.

The one with the guitar strap on the cover isn't nearly as funky. Dunno why it's so cheap tho, I don't bother picking it up any more. Passed on a few $10 copies lately. Whatever, you know?

ive got a Navy compilation that has some tracks by POrt Authority, 2 of which are durtier and funkier than any other port authority material ive heard, including the "Together" album. and as far as i know they are not on any of PA solo lp's

I think the high prices were an abberration, rather than the regular price. I've seen that record on eBay and in stores in the $10-$20 range consistently over the years.

Maybe people realized it's a fairly mediocre record. I barely ever listen to my copy to be honest.

i used to sell them for $40. still have another one in the sell boxes. relatively common one.
