I dont remember this album leaving that much of an impression when i first heard it but i do ride for SOUL FOOD .......

One of my favorite covers in any genre.

  • i can't call it for the whole album, but i'll ride for "dropping rhymes on drums" and "black to the future."

I definitely got a lot of enjoyment out of this back in the day... how does it hold up?

Jef was definitely one of the under appreciated. Great lyrics, Nice beats..... Unfortunately he Never seemed to really take off. I still like it though.

I listened to it this morning and while it didn't go into the sell pile, I'm still on the fence about its lp length quality. I also have the two main 12s from it. But even within the lp tracks, there are moments of brilliance next to laughable stuff.
