Alston 45 question

I was at Funky Sole tonight, w/ our very own Chairman Mao in full effect. I can't remember if Miles or Mao spun this but it was a female funk 45 on Alston that basically was a riff on "It's Your Thing." I didn't think it sounded like Betty Wright but I could have been mistaken. Anyone know what single that is? I was also introduced, via Mao, to the greatness that is L.A. Bare Faxx tonight.
