is that lp the same as this one, just with a different cover (and title)? don't think i ever saw that one before. "the man" sounds a lil different too, but i could be wrong... probably been a decade since i heard that song.

Never seen that LP Phill but it looks like it's on the Mandala label???
I know there are some "connections" between the Mandala and Guinness labels so my guess is that they are the same LP.
Rich, thanks for posting this (as well as the other files). Are you now DLing files as well?
Got one of those ISB(USB??) turntables for my birthday and have barely figured out how to post up clips......no, not downloading stuff to listen to...I don't have the damn time to listen to all the vinyl I buy, certainly don't have time for that D/L stuff.
All three copies have the exact same tracklist and versions of each song. The Mandala and Finger (rare german label) release came out at the same time. The release on the Guiness Label came out little bit later.
it's the german pressing on finger records. crazy label. lord funk, niagara afire and sunbirds zagara. all on finger. one of the most obscure euro labels....
by the way, I read somewhere that most of the Mandala pressing have a pressing defect? is this true?
Not saying you're wrong, but more than once I've heard that excuse for LP's that don't turn up often - you know an album is a collectable "raer" when rumors start spreading of pressing defects. That's like folklore or something.
Damn...Now "I" have to rescue all of Soulstrut from incorrect quotation marks!!!
"Midnight Rider" is indeed an Allman Brothers song.
No, there are no other Allman Brother songs on the LP.
What's wrong with putting a song title in quotes?
It may not be Strunk & White, but it's fairly accepted practice.
Anyway, I was thinking "Silver Dollar" was another Allmans song, but of course I was thinking of "Midnight Rider" itself, with the line about "one more silver dollar" ... funny they have a song with that title on the same album.

They reissued Ben E. King's Mandala album as well (again, different title and cover).

Isn't "Silver Dollar" an Allman Bros song also?
Any other Allman covers on there?
