I was looking at Night Monkey's ebay list recently, wondering exactly how good these eBay money 45s could be, for all that bidding hullabaloo. Then I saw one I'd picked up from Evanston's own Second-Hand Tunes (for about .50??, and based on the label alone) three years ago. I hadn't thought twice about it then, and I hadn't even heard the A side once, much less the B. I put it on immediately.
Well, huh. Call me flummoxed. It's pretty damn good. Maybe not THIS good, though.
I now have something respectable to play when/if the Chi-Town Record Mafia (including both Jameses, Mean Rob and Davey, by extension) come over to laugh and point. and the old mixtape machine has a reason to live, after all.
Also: I'm NOT selling it.
