    That's impressive. And sounds tasty.

I made thin crust pizza on Christmas.

On Sunday, though, I went wild with the deep fryer: Fried catfish with Creole lemon caper sauce, fried green tomatoes with bay scallop ceviche and remoulade, spicy buffalo wings. Side items were macaroni and cheese and red beans and rice.

Bet you wouldn't guess I'm from California!

I made Beef Wellington also. But we had roast potatoes, roast vegetables, cabbage fried in butter/herbs/chilli.

For desert, key lime pie, and Christmas puddin, + cream + brandy butter.

Today we had bubble and squeek. get familiar.

    +

Winter fruits poached in a kinda mulled wine, with van. icecream, SO GOOD.

Dad made pasta fagiole for xmas eve. Xmas day mom made spinach/ricotta lasagna rolls with homemade meatballs and sauce.

and more homemade cookies than I could shake a stick at. I ate more in two days than I usually eat in a week.

    good times.

    True oldschool norwegian feast style:

    Pickled beets
    Pickled Herring
    Flatbread
    Smoked Salmon
    Goat cheese
    Cucumbers w/ vinegar

    Main:
    Rice pudding
    Lingonberries
    Limpa bread
    Julekaga bread
    Swedish meatballs
    Potato sausage
    Green beans in dill butter
    Mashed potatoes (white pepper)
    White sauce on EVERYTHING

    Dessert:
    Fruit soup
    Krumkaka
    Lefsa with sugar and butter

Something like 10 sticks of butter in all...
    Wicked.

    One question,

Are you supposed to eat the (natural) casing on the potato sausage?
