Convert WMA to MP3 (and remove DRM)??

I just purchased four legal music files from a UK digital music retailer, assuming they'd be MP3s, but they turned out to be WMAs that were DRM-protected.I had planned on burning them to CD and I have software that can convert WMAs to MP3, but it doesn't work on DRM-protected files. Trouble is, I'm on a Mac, and most DRM-stripping software is Windows-based.So does anyone know of a Mac-based DRM stripping program for WMVs, or better yet, can someone holler at me via PM me and do the WMA-to-MP3 conversion for me as a favor? I want to use these 4 songs for a club gig this weekend.THANKS

You need to hit up illegal blogs for the MP3s, son!

I've never dealt w/DRM encoded digital files - just CDs. Could be hairy. I know you get files from iTunes which uses some form, but it must be completely different...

Selling schitt as WMA is really not a good look though...

For your immediate needs, you can start with the trial version of this...it works.

Yeah, I have that already and it can do the the WMA to MP3 conversion, but it fails if the DRM is still in place. What I need at this point is a Mac-based DRM-stripper.

Or someone who will do it for me.

I emailed my desi crew down here to see if they knew what it was from, but nobody did. You'd think that between three Punjabis, one Keralan and several other desis from different parts of India that they'd know it, but no dice. They enjoyed it though.

Either that vid is one of the ones you used to show at Ringside, or its the same leads and looks similar (which I suppose is quite possible)

  • What, is this board all MP3 snobs or something. No help at all? Come on guys.

  • I'm pretty sure you can burn them to audio CD and then rip the CD tracks as DRM free whatever format you want. I've done this before with iTunes, works for me.

  • Yo thanks d----l for the hookup - the MP3s work great.
