Hey Everybody!Just a quick shout to let you know that DubwiseSessions is back for yet another installment of ourfantastic autumn run this Saturday the 17th in thatfantastic speakeasy of a venue that is Studio BPM...For our special number 14 we'll be doing a nightloosely themed around the music coming out of Jamaicaand England in the 1960's........namely Ska andRocksteady - maybe a bit of Mento and Calypso...Joining us on-stage will be two very fine bands -firstly the Victor Rice Octet, performing their lastshow for 2007, with Ticklah on Keys, Dave Hahn( Dub IsA Weapon) on Guitar, Dave Hillyard and Agent Jay(Slackers) on Tenor Sax and Guitar respectively,Buford O'Sullivan on Trombone, Paul Gebhardt on thealto sax , Eddie Ocampo on the drums and Mister V.Rice himself on the bass. Vic has been a mainstay atour Dubwise Sessions party and we're thrilled to havehis 8 piece band play live - this is going to be aperformance not to miss!Also joining us is a new band from the area, ArushA.Fans of the Funk Filharmonik will recognize some ofthese heavy hitters, and I know their brand ofSka-Jazz will be a great experience for all.
